How it works

A proven process, adapted for families on orders.

The same disciplined workflow professional IECs use — intake, strategy, execution — rebuilt around PCS moves, OCONUS timezones and multi-country applications. It serves students and adult learners alike.

  1. 1

    Pre-Consultation

A free 20-minute video call. We listen, ask a few qualifying questions (grade, target countries, timeline, current school), and tell you honestly whether we're the right fit — before any consulting begins.

  2. 2

    Intake & assessment

A structured intake covers transcripts across every system you or your student has touched, activities, testing, finances and family constraints — including likely future orders.

  3. 3

    Strategy & school list

Together we build a balanced list across US, UK and EU options, a testing plan that works from your location, and a timeline tuned to DoDEA calendars and PCS realities.

  4. 4

    Application execution

Essays, activity lists, recommendations, UCAS personal statements, interviews — coached step by step, with deadlines tracked in a shared plan you can see at any time.

  5. 5

    Submission & decisions

We review everything before it goes out, then help you compare offers, financial-aid awards and waitlist strategy until the final decision is made.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to what military and expat families ask us most.

Do you only work with US military families?

No. Our core expertise is US military and DoDEA-connected families overseas, but we work with any American or international family applying from abroad — civilian expats, State Department, contractors and international-school families alike. And not only families: adult service members, military spouses and DoDEA educators planning their own education-to-career moves are core clients too.

I'm an adult — a service member, spouse or DoDEA educator. Is this for me?

Yes. Standard transition assistance is a firehose of general information; we help you build your specific pathway instead — translating niche military experience into civilian credentials, researching in-service options (COOL, Tuition Assistance, GI Bill timing), or mapping an educator's move into leadership, media-specialist or school-counseling roles. Most adult engagements start with the Accelerator Package or hourly consulting.

We're PCSing in the middle of junior/senior year. Is it too late?

No — but the earlier we start, the more options stay open. A mid-application move is exactly the scenario we plan for: we stabilize recommenders, secure transcripts before the move, and use the Interstate Compact where it applies.

Can you help with UK and European universities, not just US?

Yes. UCAS guidance and English-taught EU programs are core services, not afterthoughts. Many of our families apply to two or three systems in parallel, and we manage the conflicting calendars for you.

How do sessions work across timezones?

Everything is remote video, scheduled around European and Pacific OCONUS time. You book directly into our calendar, and asynchronous essay feedback keeps work moving between calls.

What does it cost?

Hourly consulting is $165/hour, billed in 30-minute increments. The Accelerator Package (up to 5 consulting hours) is $660, and the Comprehensive Junior-to-Senior package is $4,488 — with payment plans up to 30 months and early-payment discounts. All prices include 19% German VAT; invoices are issued in EUR at the invoice-date rate. Every fee is confirmed in writing before an engagement begins — no retainers, no surprise fees.

Can you guarantee admission to a particular university?

No, and you should walk away from anyone who says they can. We commit to a rigorous process, honest feedback, and a balanced list where every school is one your student would genuinely attend.

How are you different from the school counselor?

DoDEA and international-school counselors do important work with very heavy caseloads. We complement them with dedicated one-on-one time, cross-system expertise (US + UK + EU), and continuity that follows your family through a PCS.

Who is the client — the parent or the student?

The student does the work and owns the application; parents set the engagement and stay informed at agreed checkpoints. We put this in writing so expectations are clear, and we handle students' data with parental consent.

Do you write essays for students?

Never. We coach: brainstorming, structure, and rounds of honest feedback. The voice in the essay must be the student's — admissions officers can tell, and ethics matter.

Is there anything you won't do?

Yes, and we put it in writing: we never write essays or recommendation letters, never complete or submit applications or the FAFSA on a student's behalf, never contact admissions offices to exert influence on a decision, and never accept compensation from any institution, program, or service we recommend.

What about scholarships for military-connected students?

There is a deep pool of military-connected aid — from branch-specific programs to society scholarships — plus standard merit and need-based aid. Our scholarships add-on builds a target list and calendar for your student.

We're at a Pacific base — do you cover DoDEA Pacific?

Yes. The process is built for any DoDEA region — Europe, Pacific or Americas — and for international schools near posts worldwide. Scheduling covers Pacific evenings.

How do we get started?

Book the free 20-minute Pre-Consultation. If we're a fit, you'll get a written scope and fee, an intake form, and a start date — usually within a week.
